If This Is You

The nights are the hardest.

You wake at 3 AM with your heart racing, your mind spinning. You lie there in the dark, missing them so much it physically hurts.

During the day, there's a fog. You can't focus on anything. Books sit unread. Conversations drift past you.

You forget everything. Where you put your keys. Appointments. Names of people you've known for years.

Simple tasks feel impossible. Bills pile up. Emails go unanswered. You can't seem to make decisions about anything.

You feel profoundly alone. Even when people try to help, no one really understands.

And underneath it all: How do I live now? How do I find meaning again?

This is grief. And you are not broken.

I've been there too...

What You're Really Longing For

Underneath all the sleepless nights and the fog...

You want to know who you are now. Not who you were before—that person is gone.

But who you're becoming in the aftermath. You want to feel whole again, even with this giant hole in your heart.

You want to know how to move forward when it seems impossible to go on.

You want to feel held. To know that it's okay—you can still exist with all this grief.

And maybe, just maybe, even though your mind is scrambled...

Your hands can still create.

This is where painting becomes a portal—not to escape grief, but to move through it with self love and softness.

Why Painting, Not Talking

You've probably tried to talk about it. To think your way through.

But grief lives in your body, not your mind. And sometimes, words just aren't big enough.

When Words Fail

Painting lets you express what you cannot speak. You don't have to explain or justify. You just let it be.

A Mirror for Your Grief

When you see your grief on canvas, something shifts. You can finally see what's been living inside you.

A Sacred Space Opens

When you paint, a space opens up inside you—quiet, sacred, whole. Your mind stops spinning. You're just here, now.

A Portal to Connection

In the flow of creating, you might feel them close to you. Painting becomes a bridge between worlds.

I've created a one-hour painting journey to guide you through this—gently, sacredly, without rushing.

How This Helps You Move Forward

For the Sleepless Nights

When you paint, you create a sacred ritual. Something to hold onto at 3 AM when your mind won't stop spinning. A gentle anchor that reminds you: you are still here, you are still whole.

For the Fog and Forgetfulness

Painting doesn't require focus in the way reading or organizing does. Your hands can move even when your mind can't hold onto thoughts. It's a gentle way back to yourself, one brushstroke at a time.

For the Deep Loneliness

You paint in a held space, guided but not rushed. You're not alone anymore. And in the creative flow, you may feel them close to you again—painting becomes a bridge between worlds.

For Finding Your Way Forward

This method doesn't give you all the answers. But it gives you permission to exist exactly as you are. To honor what was while discovering who you're becoming. To transform your pain into love—for yourself, for what was, for what is.

This is alchemy. Turning your darkest nights into something sacred.

Hi, I'm Mieke

I know this landscape of loss—and the long journey of finding my way back to life after my son died in 2019.

I'm an artist, spiritual alchemist, medium, and mentor.

Through my own path of trying to find purpose again after loss, I discovered the alchemical power of creativity.

How painting and connecting with spirit can help us remember the deeper truth of who we are.

Today, I guide other women through this same process of transformation and healing.

The Art of Living After Loss is a one-hour portal into that journey—a first step to reconnect with your own essence.

My hope for you is that you'll begin to see there is life after loss, even if you cannot yet see what it looks like.

Let me help you take this first step, together. 💜

The Alchemy & Art Method

Ancient alchemists believed they could turn lead into gold.

But the real alchemy was never about metal. It was about transformation—about turning darkness into light, pain into love.

Like kintsugi—the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold—your cracks become part of your beauty.

Through painting, you alchemize your pain into love. Love for yourself. Love for what was. Love for what is becoming.

The canvas becomes your sacred vessel. The paint becomes your gold.

This is the heart of my work—art as spiritual alchemy.

What Happens

Not promises. Just what other women have experienced.

After your first session, you might sleep a little better. The 3 AM wake-ups might feel less terrifying.

The fog starts to lift, just a little. You remember where you put your keys. You finish reading a page and actually absorb it.

You find yourself cooking again, with music on. Small things that felt impossible start to feel possible.

You can sit in the silence without needing to fix it. You look at the sunset and realize: I'm still here.

You start painting again, not to achieve something—but to remember who you are.

You don't have to know where you're going. Only that you're moving again.

What You'll Create

Abstract, intuitive paintings that come from your body, not your mind.

You won't be painting realistic images. Instead, you'll let color and movement express what words cannot.

Soft washes of color. Bold strokes. Layers of texture. Light breaking through darkness.

This is not about making "good" art. It's not about skill or something to hang on your wall.

It's about the journey your hands take. The breath you release.

The painting is just the witness. You are the art.
